Mission
The mission undertaken by the department
The central mission of the ECAI Department is to conduct teaching and research activities at the highest level of quality within the scientific fields it coordinates.
Research performance is reflected in the production of publications recognized at both international and national levels, the enhancement of researchers’ visibility nationally and internationally through the dissemination of research results, and the support provided to the business environment in identifying optimal solutions to the challenges it faces and in creating value.
In the educational domain, the main objectives of the ECAI Department focus on the creation, development, and continuous improvement of the knowledge, skills, and competencies of students and organizational employees, required in the context of a dynamic national and international socio-economic environment. These objectives are materialized in the design of initial and lifelong learning study programs, whose curricula are compatible with similar European programs and which, through specialization, interdisciplinarity, and creativity, foster the analytical skills necessary for problem identification, interpretation of phenomena, decision-making, strategy development, and the implementation of appropriate action plans.
To this end, teaching and learning methodologies based on interactivity, teamwork, and debate have been designed, implemented, and continuously updated. The primary objective is the development of both personal and interpersonal skills among beneficiaries of the study programs, enabling them to set and achieve their own goals, meet the needs and expectations of employers and clients, and actively engage at the societal level in addressing community challenges.
