Objectives
Using a complex curriculum, consistent with similar programmes of other European universities, the “Management” study programme provides students with a solid theoretical knowledge basis, as well as with the practical skills useful in the professional life of an economist.
Acquired competences
- the identification, analysis and management of the elements which define the internal and external environment of an organisation through diagnosis and SWOT analysis;
- the development and implementation of organisational strategies and policies;
- the development and implementation of the managerial system and its subsystems (allocation and reallocation of resources and activities);
- the identification, selection and use of methods of forecasting, organising, coordinating, training and control assessment;
- making, adopting and implementing decisions for small-scale organisations (on the whole or partially);
- using data bases, information and knowledge in applying managerial methods, techniques and procedures;
- applying the principles, standards and values of professional ethics to one’s own strategy of rigorous, efficient and responsible work;
- the identification of roles and responsibilities in a multi-specialised team and applying efficient work and relationship techniques to the team;
- the identification of lifelong learning opportunities and the efficient use of learning techniques and resources for self-development.
Perspectives
At the same time we aim, through curricular and extra-curricular activities, to build or develop our students’ soft-skills which will enable them, at some point, to take a step forward in their career and move up into management, to become not only good managers, but also authentic leaders, or to start up their own business.
Job opportunities
From this perspective, at the end of their studies, the graduates will be able to apply for numerous jobs which will offer real opportunities for building a successful career: management counsellor/ expert/ inspector/ referee/ economist; process improvement specialist; human resources specialist; strategic planning analyst; management consultant; project manager; purchasing manager; product manager; quality management system supervisor; production planning executive; area sales manager; information systems analyst.
