Objectives

The study programme is aimed at graduates from any field, providing them with skills that will allow their processing and management of financial-accounting information; coordination of teams performing financial-accounting control activities; carrying out specific programmes for the financial and accounting sector; understanding and applying financial management decisions.

The Master's programme aims at achieving a high-performance teaching activity as well as the promotion of scientific research.

This master program has the following strategic objectives:

  • to train specialists with master’s training in accounting and auditing;
  • to ensure continuing higher education through master’s and doctoral courses;
  • to keep training up-to-date through continuous training courses required by the competitive economy;
  • to do a permanent transfer of specialized knowledge to the community and the business environment.

 

An important aspect refers to the fact that, according to the Protocol concluded between the University of Craiova and the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR), the graduates of this master's programme, holding a diploma in economics, shall be admitted, without entrance examination, as interns for obtaining the status of accountant expert. Career opportunities

The jobs that may be targeted by graduates, according to the Classification of Occupations in Romania, refer to: internal auditor; financial officer; advisor / expert in economic management; office manager/ financial-accounting department; Economic/ financial manager; Fraud squad officer; Inspector at the National Agency for Fiscal Administration; Advisor to the Ministry of Public Finance; Auditor, etc.
